Dan Con 2012

Instant Press is a confirmed guest for Dan Con 2012. This past year was a remarkable start for a fresh new show. Decapitated Dan was a very generous host and he really knew how to cater to the artist and exhibitors as well as the attendee's. This show has quickly become a must for convention goers. Take a look at highlights from earlier this year if you're not convinced here.

Here's what Dan Con has to say about Instant Press Comics:
"Instant Press Comics is celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2012. The party kicks off at Dan Con! IPC publishes a variety of genres: superhero (Starbomb, Unbelievable Laundry Detergent Man), manga (Distant, The Mysteries of Bakerville), action (White Knife) and cartoon (Dorks, Bride of the Wolfman). New books for 2012 include House of the Wolfman, Distant Collected Trade, and Instant Press 2012. Artist Rene Castellano and writer David Gruba will be in attendance. You can check out IPC at www.instantpresscomics.com or follow them on Twitter @NstantPress."

FallCon 2011

It's always sad once the last convention of the year passes by. Instant Press was representing in MN this past weekend at FallCon and boy was it fun. Dave Gruba, Dann Phillips and Rene Castellano were in attendance and much fun was had. We hope to bring more to the table next year so as we plan our schedules for next year enjoy this look at our season closer.

From Words To Pictures

Hey everybody. This past weekend was a pretty busy weekend for Instant Press. Kicking off the last convention of the season, Dave and Rene did a presentation at the Beverly Arts Center on the south side of Chicago. The kids in the school had a fun project of putting together a comic book about a famous person in history so we were brought in to help mentor them on how comic books are made. A great tag team of artist and writer giving a presentation about the different stages of a comic books life. The kids were great and to our surprise, they had some really great questions. We were expecting stuff like, is Superman real or do we draw Pokemon but that wasn't the case. One question that sticks out in my mind was, "Is there anything that gets lost in the when the artwork is done in black and white rather then color?" I had no idea that's how kids thought these days. I hope they learned alot and Dave and I really had a great time talking to them. Here are some pics of the event.

Wizard World 2011 - Day Three

Final day at Wizard World. You would think it would be a nice relaxing day but the crowds demanded comics. It was crazy busy and Instant Press was there selling books to several fans. Thanks to those that picked up our books and also took the time out to let their picture be taken. Until 2012.

Wizard World 2011 - Day Two

Saturday was a madhouse at Wizard World. Every fan boy/girl must have been in attendance cause it was hard to get around. All in all it looked like people were still having fun and things were really jumping over at the Instant Press table. Here are more highlights that stopped traffic at our table:
